Abstract

ABSTRACT: In the ancient and glorious Tamil literature, the Vaishnava god Tirumal is specially revered. Worship is essential for the lives of the people. It wipes out suffering and gives pleasure. People will use it to remove defects and to request needs. It is said that the purpose of worship is that everyone should live in contact with the deity. When he speaks of the worship of God, he says, 'I have read, heard, worshipped, worshipped and worshipped.' Similarly, we know from the Tamil literature that the Tamils had the same methods of worship of gods from ancient times. Though there are many deities worshipped by Tamils, Tirumal is a notable deity among them. It is a fact of history that Tirumal is the deity who has been worshipped since the Vedic times. The purpose of this article is to study how vaishnava religious elements are found in bharani literature.
