Abstract

Abstract: Puducherry Devadasis are popular Devadasis like Tamil Nadu Devadasis. The norms, rituals, ethics etc. are same between these and Tamilnadu Devdasis. The Puducherry Devadasis were called by the French as Payadars meaning Dancers. The purpose of this article is to examine them.
