ABSTRACT: Poems, short stories, and novels of dalit genre came from Tamil literature in the last decade of the 20th century. Dalit literature books create the dabate and make a huge impact on society. because it revealed the woes of scheduled caste people as fiction stories. This research explores the differences between 1990s dalit genre books and contemporary dalit literature. In the modern world, people of scheduled caste get education, employment and reached higher positions. Some of them became a rulers or authorities in government offices. But, scheduled caste people face discrimination by the name of caste. Those who struggle for their rights without leaving their identities have been recorded in contemporary Dalit literature. And also it revealed inter caste married couples problems in the modern society.
