Abstract

Study Summary: In the Sangha literature, worship of one deity and many other deities are found. The deities took precedence according to the nature of the land in which the people lived. The worship of the Tamils ​​is the most important in the literature. The form of worship which was nature worship in the early period was over time perfected in idolatry. Just as the life of man who started in harmony with nature has acquired various dimensions, the worship which originated on the basis of faith has also developed. Beginning with natural worship, worshiping God and individual worship has become an inseparable part of life.
