Abstract

Our Tamil language is the most special language among world languages. Sangha literature is a literature that highlights the lifestyle, social structure, culture and valor of the ancient Tamil people by adding specialness to our Tamil. Sangam literature is divided into internal literature and external literature to explain social life. In internal literature, the poets have highlighted the cultural traditions of Sangam people like life style, domestic life, hospitality, etc. One of the best traditions of Tamils ​​is marriage, the marriage system is based on land. It has happened to reflect the culture of mothers. In this article, the marriage system of the Tamil people is mentioned through the song of Akanahunuttu.
