Abstract

Kavikko Abdul Rahman continues to hold a prestigious position in Tamil Literary  environment . He has done many experimental ventures in Tamil Poetry. Paal veedi is one such successful attempt. His poems describe the existing social set up with all its follies and concentrates mainly on the down tall of social values. His voice against power  reverberates through out  his  poetic space. This article  tries  to  investigate  how  his poems satirize the follies of the society and attempt  to accelerate the process of social reformation.
