Abstract

The Karumandurai region stands out as a distinguished part of the hill settlements. The people living here continue to faithfully follow the traditions and customs handed down by their ancestors, without any change even to this day. In particular, their refined culture, ancient heritage, distinctive linguistic pronunciation, and age-old practices have all been preserved across generations. Sustaining themselves on the tubers, fruits, and wildlife available in the mountain ranges, their way of life vividly reflects the traditions and cultural values that shape their everyday existence.
